    This position will be based out of Albany, NY but will relocate to Marcy, NY in 2021/2022.

    What can you do for Cree Wolfspeed?

    • Operating equipment in various semiconductor process areas such as photolithography, etch, wet cleans, CVD, PVD, CMP, metrology and others
    • Write and update operating procedures as needed
    • Perform inspection, test, minimal repair, troubleshooting and operation of several process tools or tool clusters of a complex nature
    • Provide technical assistance to operations management to help resolve tool problems
    • Correct improper operation of equipment and take corrective action

    What you need for success:

    • Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field
    • 2-5 years of experience/training in a highly technical engineering environment.
    • Excellent mechanical skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to be flexible and work in multiple process areas and different types of equipment across the production floor
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift
    • Basic computer skills including Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to stand for 12 hours at a time and wear full clean room attire
    • Ability to effectively communicate end of shift pass downs  
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed                                                        

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • 5+ years’ experience in a semiconductor Fab clean room environment
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Advanced computer knowledge including programming within Excel and Microsoft Access
    • Experience in an automated semiconductor Fab
    • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents

     

     

    This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
