    We currently have an opening for a Process Development Engineer in our LED Opto R&D group. The position is located at our headquarters in Durham, NC.  In this position, you will work with a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to develop and transfer into production new LED-based solid state lighting products and processes.



    In this position, you will be responsible for the development and improvement of epitaxial growth processes for III-V Nitride type LED products. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, hands-on, have a strong aptitude for learning new skills, and resourceful problem-solvers with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical issues through the implementation of practical solutions to complicated problems.     Minimum Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related field (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science)


    Preferred Experience:


    • Master's degree in an engineering discipline or related field (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science).
    • 1+ Year(s) of experience in an R&D or manufacturing environment.
    • Previous work with semiconductors growth, fabrication, or packaging.
    • Experience with databases and data analysis tools (SQL, Access, JMP, Excel, etc.). 


    This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
