    Wolfspeed RF R&D Team is looking for an Engineering Technician to support a team of scientists and engineers by characterizing and sustaining fabrication of GaN RF products. Cree | Wolfspeed is unable to sponsor a visa for this position.


    *This opening is for a 12-hour night position.

    What can you do for Wolfspeed? 

    • Product disposition and sustaining support for RF R&D products in the Wafer Fab.   Activities will include microscope inspections, reworks, incident creation, determining tool commonality and incident root cause, and WIP containment and scrap dispositions. 
    • Training and supporting other technicians and operators on new processes and changes on RF products
    • Interact with Product/Process Engineers & Equipment Maintenance group to identify and resolve root cause issues when possible. 


    What you need for success: 

    • At least 3 years of semiconductor fabrication and/or test experience. Holding an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Engineering could substitute for experience.
    • Able to work in clean room for extended period.
    • Team player
    • Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
    • Good communication skills
    • Positive, professional, and energetic attitude
    • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.


    Highly preferred skills and certifications:

    • Software and programming background:  C#, LabView, VBA, & JMP scripting or other environments.
    • Knowledge of Fab processes including Etch, Photolithography, Metal deposition, Diffusion, Wet Processing, Implantation, and backend processing for both Power & RF product lines.
    • Knowledge of Testing Equipment: Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Tuners, Automated Probers, SMU and DC power supplies.
    • Must have ability to work effectively and take initiative with little continuous direct supervision.
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
    • Ability to handle sudden changes in daily priorities.


    This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
