    Job Summary:

    Cree | Wolfspeed is seeking a highly motivated candidate to work as a Test Engineer on the RF Device Modeling team. This person will be responsible for device characterization, test software development, test bench setup, and test lab resource management.  

     

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with modeling, design, and device development engineers to support testing needs.
    • Perform bench setup, calibration, and station verification before job starts.
    • Perform testing jobs based on priority and provide data needs for engineers.
    • Technician training to perform testing using automation software.
    • Develop test software for various projects including special testing needs or exploring new characterization techniques.
    • Develop and automate tests for software validation.
    • Help maintain and manage test equipment and lab resources.

     

    What you need for success:

    • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
    • B.S in Electrical Engineering or a related field
    • Hands on experience of performing IV, S parameters, Loadpull measurement
    • Familiar with calibration techniques for high frequency and large signal, i.e. SOLT, TRL, LRM, power/phase cal…
    • Self-motivated and is able to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Strong interpersonal and professional relationship skills.
    • Strong organization skills.

     

    Highly preferred skills and certifications:

    • M.S in Electrical Engineering with work in a related field
    • 3-5 years of testing experience, esp. microwave and millimeter wave frequency power amplifier related testing is preferred.
    • Related experience of working within semiconductor device characterization environment.
    • Familiar with program languages (i.e. LabVIEW, C+, Visual Basic)
