    Web Designer/Producer will design, develop and publish content to the web using HTML, CSS, basic Javascript as well as through CMS/wysiwyg panels. Basic web content and data entry is also a requirement of this position. The job demands strengths in creativity, standards-compliant code, cross-browser/platform compatibility, an eye for user experience, attention to detail and an ability to constantly troubleshoot and problem solve. 



    As a vital part of the Cree Corporate Marketing Web team, you will:

    • Create & transform Photoshop designs into clean, working HTML/CSS, ensuring layouts and content look consistent across browsers, OS's and platforms; desktop, mobile and tablet 
    • Website content entry - Edit existing web pages/sites; copy edits, digital asset updates, HTML/CSS tweaks in text editor as well as wysiwyg admin panels
    • Organize and Prep various digital asset formats to be web ready; videos, images, pdfs, etc. 
    • Produce clean HTML/CSS from scratch/by hand
    • Design and produce web digital assets; banner design/production, CTA button design production, page layout and design, image optimizing
    • Maintain expertise in our platforms and understand the system's limitation and capabilities
    • Constantly look for ways to gain efficiencies, reduce time to launch & improve site containers
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of websites including basic metrics, sitemaps and technologies
    • Assist QA efforts and troubleshooting to appropriately identify/correct issues
    • Have an awareness of on-brand continuity in visual messaging across all digital channels 


    • Meticulous and detail oriented 
    • High level of proficiency with HTML, CSS
    • Basic proficiency JavaScript/jQuery
    • High level proficiency with Adobe Suite
    • high level proficiency with MS Office; Excel, PPT and Word
    • Experience with enterprise level web content management systems; Magento, Drupal, Wordpress or Joomla
    • Experience with development/staging/production process environments
    • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills as it relates to design/development
    • Excellent oral and written English communication skills are a must
    • Ability to take ownership of tasks and work independently through resolution

    Experience & Education:

    • Education with SEO best practices
    • Experience with ecommerce a plus
    • Experience with email marketing, html email production and campaign landing page design/production a plus
    • Working towards a degree in web/digital/graphic design or related field a plus
