    IoT Software Engineering Intern


    This internship will be hosted by Cree’s IoT Software Engineering in the Intelligent Lighting division.

    What you need for success:


    Enrollment in an accredited collegiate program

    Maintains a 2.5 GPA or above

    Excellent communication skills

    Relevant Experience

    Ability to work without sponsorship now or in the future

    Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, preferably M.S program


    General Responsibilities:


    A successful intern will be engaged in multiple aspects of software delivery in Cree, from design to implementation to quality assurance, with opportunities to also work with DevOps in facilitating HOW our team builds software and understands the current state of our code bases, continuous integration/continuous deployment infrastructure, automation, orchestration, and infrastructure.


    Depending on focus, skill set, and areas where the intern expresses interest, the successful intern may interact with any/all of the IoT Engineering team members and will gain first-hand experience in bringing a software-based product to market.  You may find yourself designing interfaces, building back-end APIs, troubleshooting bugs, monitoring systems and infrastructure, or more.
