    In this position for the Power business unit, you will be responsible for managing and growing a department that provides the capability for high volume testing at both the on-wafer probe and packaged component level. The goal of this team is to expand the automated test capability to address the needs of a rapidly growing production portfolio of silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs and diodes. You will interact with the Production Test and New Product Introduction teams to ensure that all data sheet characterization requirements can be met with a high-speed test platform.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Establish and grow a team of test engineers to support growth demands on the product line by developing a suite of automated test equipment (ATE) solutions
    • Manage capital and personnel budgets to support rapid business growth
    • Specify, develop and qualify new test platforms to fully characterize SiC power MOSFETs and diodes in high volume production
    • Create a “copy exact” process for transferring test systems from development to production
    • Work with Production Test and New Product Introduction teams to establish baseline test yields, maverick wafer plans and parametric bin settings
    • Participate in all product-launch Gate Reviews with the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Marketing teams to understand all testing requirements
    • Mange the release of changes to production software and hardware through the Process Change Review Board (PCRB)
    • Develop hardware and software capability to assume responsibility for all testing at packaging subcontractors
    • Assess and implement product changes/transfers including trainings to the subcontractor engineers 
    • Keep track of subcontractor capability in terms of process, test equipment portfolio
    • Drive best practice sharing, benchmarking, and process matching across all test sites, including subcontractors




    • At least 5 years of experience in management of a test engineering team
    • Experience in a production test environment
    • Strong understanding of semiconductor device characterization
    • Working knowledge of current industry best practices for software and hardware systems
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Power semiconductor device test experience.
    • Working knowledge of semiconductor component qualification and reliability testing
