    The LED Products Nitride Epi R&D group is looking for a Process Technician who will work with a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to develop high brightness LED products in a deadline-oriented atmosphere. The successful candidate will be a hard-working, well organized, hands-on, problem solver with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical challenges. This position is open to entry-level applicants.

     

      This opening is for a 12 hour night shift position.

     What can you do for Cree?

    • Interface with and support scientists and engineers to advance new technologies.
    • Understand process flow and data requirements to facilitate LED development.
    • Monitor tool performance and report issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
    • Assist in creating new and refining existing procedures.

     What you need for success:

    • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience.
    • US citizen or permanent resident.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Must work diligently and carefully.
    • Good dexterity for manipulating small objects for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to learn new skills quickly.
    • Ability to conduct multiple tasks with minimal supervision required.
    • Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
    • Must be able to work entire shift in a clean room environment.
    • MS Word and MS Excel experience.

     Highly preferred skills and certifications:

    • 2-3 years experience in semiconductor industry.
    • Previous experience working in a clean room environment.
