    If you are a numbers guru who loves analyzing, slicing and dicing numerical data, then Cree’s Pricing Analyst position is for you. A part of Cree’s global LED Lighting Marketing group based in fast growing Racine WI, you’ll be responsible for interpreting and operationalizing pricing strategy and analyzing price quote requests for the Cree LED Lighting Sales and Marketing Teams. Technical aptitude and strong financial acumen will be critical as you serve as a cross-departmental liaison and client specialist, driven by data.

     

    Your primary mission will be to support the pricing process in a timely and efficient manner to ensure optimum pricing levels are achieved. You will communicate new concepts, collect issues and concerns, and address them within the project schedule. Your polished communication skills paired with the understanding of benefits and the data that comes with the industry will be essential as you as the key liaison among the Product Management, Finance, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and IT teams.     Primary Responsibilities:

    • Review quote requests and provide recommendations which aim to earn Cree business at acceptable profit levels.
    • Mine and manipulate large sets of data, effectively analyze and provide profitable recommendations at many different levels within the Lighting organization.
    • Collaborate with management to implement new pricing initiatives.
    • Partner with product management team to assist in creating profitable pricing strategies
    • Provide support for new and ongoing products; specifically, distributor book pricing, customer specific pricing and analysis.
    • Working with external Lighting Agency sales professionals, respond promptly to requests for pricing and pricing-related information and advice to ensure price and margin maximization.
    • Carry out competitor pricing profiles and collect, collate, and analyze economic and competitor activity and pricing data in the preparation of price lists.

     

    Skills Required:

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
    • Oracle (or similar ERP), Salesforce.com (or similar CRM) and Tableau (or similar reporting database program) experience preferred, Big Machines CPQ or equivalent a plus.
    • Financial analysis in profits, costs and pricing, and technical aptitude for products and systems.
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside of the organization.
    • Excellent relationship management and problem resolution skills, written and verbal communications skills, and consistent displays a high level of professional conduct
    • Ability to effectively engage in multiple requests and projects at the same time.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business (finance, accounting, pricing, statistics) or related field is required; will consider equivalent of relevant business experience and education
    • 5+ years’ experience in financial modeling and analytics, including segmentation analysis, competitive benchmarking, price modeling
