    Sr. Identity and Access Management Engineer


    As a Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for development and support of Identity and Access Management platforms globally for Cree. This includes Identity Management, Access Management, Directory Management, Federation, and Data Identification.  Responsibilities extend globally to on-premise and cloud-based environments.  The ideal candidate is expected to have extensive prior experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions including lifecycle management.



    • Strong Experience with On-Premise ADFS design/support and cloud identity services across Azure/O365
    • Support Identity and Access Management systems including Priveleged and Conditional Access
    • Develop solutions to integrate identity management authentication and authorization framework into existing applications
    • Continuous development of IAM solutions focused on automation and self service to improve upon time, cost, and risk
    • Lead support and adoption of IAM integration including provisioning, de-provisioning, and user lifecycle management
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.


    • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally; e.g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and service providers.
    • Requirement to provide support off hours for operational issues as required.
    • Capable of prioritizing and managing assignments and tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to maintain a detail oriented approach while multitasking in a fast paced, global, environment.
    • Focused on documentation of environment including reporting, disaster recovery, process manuals, and adherence to Change Management best practices
    • Experience with ADFS, Azure AD Identity Services, Active Directory, LDAP, Powershell, RBAC, IAM, and PAM Service experience with Active Roles Server (Quest), CyberArk, and Varonis are beneficial



    • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of IAM services with existing systems throughout the enterprise.
    • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
    • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and system owners in the testing of newly integrated Identity services


    • Ensure the collection and coherent interpretation of the various business processes affected by integration efforts.
    • Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via integration or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
    • Where necessary, provide guidance to junior members of the team.


    • BS in Computer Science or related field or equally related industry Certifications
    • Preferer Identity Management certifications such as "Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM)", "Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP)", "Certified in Data Protection (CDP)" , "Certified Access Management Specialist (CAMS)".
    • 7+ years of Identify Management experience, and 5 years of security experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills to guide and mentor personnel as well as interact with customers and team members. Ability to influence and successfully interface with leadership
    • Working knowledge of Linux authentication including PAM and SSH authentication.
    • Experience delivering authentication services to cloud providers such as Azure and Oracle cloud.
    • Scripting (Powershell) for automation of the various existing manual onboarding tasks as well as other interfaces with existing IM solutions.
    • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and balance and lead projects.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities
    • Ability to quickly learn various IT tools and systems available 


    • This role has no direct reports


    This role serves the Information Technology (IT) teams. IT members may be required to travel domestically and internationally with short notice up to 10% of the time. During emergencies or crises, IT members may be required to work extended shifts with no or short notice and without defined times for stopping work. IT members are on call 24 Hours per day 7 Days per week including times when other Global Knowledge employees are not required to work.
