    Distribution Global Technical Director

     

    At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Distribution Global Technical Director located in Raleigh, NC.

     

    As a Distribution Global Technical Director, you will develop a global technical strategy, build influential relationships with key decision makers at assigned distributors, and drive growth in sales and market share for Cree LED and Cree Wolfspeed technologies. You will be the global technical expert for distribution activities within these technologies and provide guidance to Cree on how to maximize results. You will interact with internal and external engineering, sales, marketing and business unit teams. You will drive execution of programs, resolve issues, and deliver results.  The position will report to the VP of Global Distribution.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a technical marketing, training, and support plan for distributors globally
    • Provide support, guidance, and training programs for Distributor FAEs and technical support groups.
    • Produce and maintain technical and commercial training material for the channel community and share it globally.
    • Develop, drive, and implement channel marketing activity for selected channel partners.
    • Collaborate with business units to develop "go to market" channel strategies
    • Assist with marketing campaigns via the channel and provide a two-way conduit between the channel and Cree
    • Work with the Cree sales team to help create product campaigns and ensure that the sales and technical resources are trained on those products.
    • Attend branch opportunity reviews where appropriate and possible to help identify technical barriers and advise how to remove them to accelerate design wins.
    • Assist the channel DFAEs with their goals of bringing design wins to revenue and support with strategic end customer visits
    • Coordinate the technical aspect of major training events

     

    Qualifications:

    • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience
    • 10+ years experience in engineering sales and marketing
    • Existing relationships and ability to interface with senior level management
    • Ability to build influential relationships.
    • Written and verbal communication skills.
    • Problem solving skills
    • Knowledge of and experience in major markets
    • Ability to interact with all types of individuals.
    • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time
