    Cree is in search of an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise with an internal customer group. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on employee relations, performance management, terminations, recruitment, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between employees and leadership.


    Specific responsibilities include:

    • In collaboration with an HR Business Partner, support the HR Department’s mission to create opportunities for employees to experience Great Jobs, Great Bosses and Great Rewards
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels
    • Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors and employees, using our Values (see below) and referencing company practice and policies as applicable
    • Develop and maintain expertise of Cree’s Human Resources programs and initiatives for the purpose of supporting managers and employees
    • Support the HR department in informing, communicating, supporting and/or implementing programs in partnership with Talent Development, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits and HRIS teams
    • Identify ways to improve company policies and procedures to improve the employee experience
    • Participate in teams and on projects as requested


    Requirements and characteristics of success:

    • 4-6 years of work experience in human resources
    • 4-year degree
    • Demonstrates exceptional people skills, including conflict resolution, coaching and negotiation abilities; exceptional listening skills
    • Experience accessing, compiling, and leveraging data and metrics. Proven technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of thinking styles and approaches
    • Passion for working in a team environment; shows resiliency and a sense of humor
    • Appreciation and support of diversity of thought, experiences and backgrounds
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information
