A Career at Cree as an Assembler offers:
Operates machinery and/or tools to assemble and fasten parts accurately and efficiently by performing the following duties.
11PM - 7AM
40 hours a week
Sunday - Thursday
Mandatory overtime required depending on business needs; both weekends and extended shift hours
Voluntary overtime available
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Selects work orders of the highest priority/due to ensure timely completion.
Performs verification of picked materials against the work order bill of materials.
Performs product assembly and related activities as part of a team or individually.
Completes all necessary work order documentation.
Completes work order closes in a timely manner.
Performs miscellaneous rework.
Identifies and corrects, if possible, or informs supervisor of unsafe conditions.
Communicates concerns and issues to supervisor.
Acts responsibly to provide a safe work environment for all employees.
Seeks training, as needed, from trainer or supervisor to ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders.
Produces quality products that meet or exceed all engineering, approval agency, and communicated customer requirements.
Maintains timely communication with the production team supervisor to ensure quality and due date compliance.
Completes daily personal or team productivity data.
Continuously challenges self to improve performance.
Adheres to attendance policy and all other company and department policies.
Demonstrates good team ethics and cooperation.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR TEST/PACK
Performs required production testing and quality verification.
Performs all product labeling and date coding.
Performs product packaging.
Organizes completed products on skids.
Stages completed product to be moved into the Finished Goods Warehouse.
REQUIREMENT FOR BENCH ASSEMBLY IIA: BALLAST FIXTUER ASSEMBLY, TEST/PACK, GLASS, CRIMP AND WIRE PROCESSING SET UP
Successfully complete minimum of six months.
Achieve certification in assigned area.
REQUIREMENT FOR BENCH ASSEMBLY IIB, TEST/PACK IIB, GLASS ASSEMBLY IIB
Individual must have succeeded in a respective level IIA position for a minimum of 6 months.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education.
Six months experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, count, and perform basic math accurately.
Ability/Ability to learn to operate hand and pneumatic assembly tools.
Ability/Ability to learn to read and understand a production order.
Ability/Ability to learn to operate pneumatic assembly tools.
Ability/Ability to learn to accurately assemble, code, test, label and pack product.
Ability to work as a team member.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a infrequent basis. Majority of components are between 5lbs and 20 lbs.
