    We are currently looking for a Global Quality Director.  In this role, you will be responsible for the effective development and continual improvement of the quality system and culture for Cree’s LED, Power, and RF product lines.

    This is a high visibility role with the opportunity and expectation to build a quality organization and influence the strategic quality direction and culture of the business. You will have the opportunity to work across all product lines including LED chips & components, Power devices & modules, and RF devices as the business expands and ramps to meet increasing demand in multiple market segments.

     

    What can you do for Cree?

    • Develop, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems and activities
    • Define and specify the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.
    • Build a strong, effective Quality Team to support operational growth and increased customer automotive quality requirements
    • Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations.
    • Systematically and relentlessly identify, prioritize and drive closure of Quality System improvement opportunities
    • Work closely with Operations leadership team to continue to strengthen the culture of quality at Cree

     

    What you need for success:

    • 10+ years in Quality leadership role in semiconductor industry
    • Global quality experience, including Asia
    • BS or MS in Engineering
    • Evidence of exceptional ability in prioritization, problem solving and leadership
    • Knowledge of and experience with automotive quality standards
    • Demonstrated proficiency with common quality approaches/tools including 8D, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, etc.

     

    Highly preferred skills and certifications:

    • Six Sigma certification and experience
    • Lean Manufacturing experience
