Job Description

UX/UI Intern

We currently have an opening for a UX/UI Intern within our IoT Engineering group located at the Cree corporate headquarters in Durham, NC. If you’re an information designer who can also make a web-app pixel perfect, we want to hear from you.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Ability to create internal and external content in Confluence
  • Document management, maintenance and organization
  • Open Source Contributions
  • Coursework or interest in the following:
    • HTML5/CSS3/ES6+
    • AngularJS Experience
    • InvisionApp
    • Adobe XD


  • Work with emerging technologies in the IoT space
  • Gain experience in Agile Product Release Cycles
  • Experience with Git source control system
  • Work with a team of highly-engaged and experienced creatives
  • Learn how to develop web applications in a cross-functional team environment
  • Exposure to:
    • D3 and other data visualization technologies
    • Experience with web sockets and HTTP 2.0
    • Package management systems such as Bower, Webpack, NPM, etc
    • *nix environments
    • Angular/2
