HR Intern - Business Operations

With oversight from both Legal and HR team members, this Intern will be responsible for conducting benchmarking / best practices research to provide recommendations related to the update of Human Resources policies and procedures.  

The goals of this project are to:

  • Ensure competitiveness in the talent marketplace
  • Update policies to align, when possible, with large entity and manufacturing best practices
  • Ensure compliance with current legal requirements
  • Simplify overall policy structure

This Intern is responsible for reviewing all HR policies. A specific focus of this project will be on the Company’s Time-Off Policies (Paid Time Off, Holiday Paid Time Off, Unplanned Time Off, etc.).  

Requirements

  • Presently working towards a Psychology, Sociology, Business or Human Resources degree
  • Current College Sophomore or Higher
  • Willingness to collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders
  • Exceptional listening skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to think practically and convert ideas into concrete recommendations
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks concurrently
  •  

Preferred

  • Work experience at any level working with employee base and/or general public (i.e. Retail, Hospitality)
  • Comfort with public speaking (beginning level; expert level proficiency not expected)
