GaN Device Characterization Intern

This internship position will work in semiconductor device modeling and characterization team alongside our RF test and modeling engineers. This person will undertake one of several projects related to characterization and modeling of GaN HEMT devices and compile a presentation of results to support engineers.

Project Responsibilities:

  • study of linearity behavior with RF characterization techniques on AlGaN/GaN HEMT devices;
  • develop on wafer linearity characterization techniques and methodologies.
  • Develop on wafer measurement system to fully characterize the linearity behavior include AM-PM, AM-AM, IM3, video bandwidth performance;
  • characterize and understand process impact of linearity performance to support in-house GaN HEMT technology development.
  • generate reports in power point format for progress updates, project achievements, challenges and key learning points;


  • Currently enrolled in a BSEE or MSEE degree program.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and/or RF designs.
  • Previous lab or class experience with RF characterization and RF MMIC design.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.


  • Device/circuit design experience.
  • RF measurement experience.
