Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will report the Revenue Accounting Manager in the corporate accounting group, and this role will be highly visible in our global headquarters. The preferred candidate will be a self-starter, with tremendous attention to detail. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis of revenue, customer incentive and product warranty programs
  • Develop an understanding and detailed knowledge of the various product line revenue through independent discussions and research
  • Prepare journal entries to properly record revenue-related, customer incentive and product warranty-related transactions in accordance with US GAAP and CREE policies
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of revenue-related, customer incentive and product warranty accounts
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Review agreements for US GAAP accounting impact
  • Maintain and develop revenue, product warranty and customer incentive program documentation including policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Provide supporting documentation and analysis to internal and external auditors as needed
  • Ad hoc projects as directed

What you need for success:

  • BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Experience with revenue recognition for a publicly traded company
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • 4+ years financial/accounting experience
  • Ability to work independently

Highly preferred

  • MBA or MS degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • 2+ years public accounting experience
  • Experience with Oracle, Oracle Discover, Blackline and Spreadsheet Server
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley and controls identification
