Job Description

This is a Process Technician position within the Power Product Engineering Group at the Wolfspeed division of Cree.   We are looking for a Process Technician to provide support on day shift including 1 weekend day to with primary responsibilities in the Test (TDI) area.  Candidates should be self-motivated, team players that are eager to learn.

What can you do for Wolfspeed?


  • Product disposition and sustaining support for 100 and 150 mm MOSFET and Schottkys in TDI.   Activities will include  microscope inspections, reworks, incident creation, determining tool commonality and incident root cause, and WIP containment and scrap. 
  • Work closely with the Power Product Engineering Team to develop, document and qualify processes and procedures which will improve yields and cycle time in TDI. This will include characterizing, documenting and possibly presenting data based around designed experiments.
  • Monitor electrical and visual data on Power products to identify trends and potential process issues.
  • Training and supporting TDI technicians and Operators on new processes and changes on Power products. 
  • Interact with Product/Process Engineers & Equipment Maintenance group to identify and resolve root cause issues when possible. 
  • Areas of concentration will include Probe, Saw, Camtek, Burn-in and other test and assembly operations for both Power product lines. 

What you need for success:

  • Associates degree or at least 4 years of clean room and/or P&T area experience.
  • Candidate must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.
  • At least 3 year of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Able to work in clean room for extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work a weekend day.
  • Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Good communicator

Highly preferred skills and certifications:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must have ability to work effectively and take initiative with little continuous direct supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Ability to handle sudden changes in daily priorities.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents
