Job Description

We currently have an opening for a Front End Developer within our IoT Engineering group located at the Cree corporate headquarters in Durham, NC. If you’re a qualified front end developer, especially with experience working on microservices and teams handling multiple web apps concurrently, we want to hear from you.

  • Hands on design and development of a product not currently in existence.
  • Ability to have a say in the design and development of the IoT product line.

What can you do for Cree?  

  • Design, develop and maintain web, mobile and cloud applications
  • Partner and implement designs developed with UX/UI team
  • Create and expand applications with cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
  • Manage workflow using ticketing system (JIRA) 

What you need for success:

  • Experience developing web applications in a team environment
  • HTML5/CSS3/ES6+
  • 3+ Years professional experience in front-end development
  • 1 Year experience with AngularJS
  • Experience with package management systems such as Bower, Webpack, NPM, etc
  • Experience with agile/scrum software development
  • Proficient with development in *nix environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient with GIT version control

Highly preferred skills and certifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Open Source Contributions
  • 2+ Years AngularJS Experience
  • Experience with Angular 2
  • Experience writing APIs in node/express
  • Experience with D3 and other data visualization technologies
  • Experience with web sockets and HTTP 2.0
