Job Summary


Wolfspeed is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team at our Research Triangle Park, NC location. This person will be primarily focused on supporting the government contracts business, but the role will also touch various key finance and accounting functions such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and supporting the monthly accounting close process.

What can you do for Cree?

  • Supports government contract accounting and compliance efforts
    • Update contract finance schedules
    • Compile and analyze weekly sales earned on government programs
    • Manage the government portion of the GL
    • Aggregate monthly billable cost to customers.
    • Reconcile contract labor, travel, material, and other direct costs
    • Audit expense reports charged on government contracts
    • Prepare invoices to customers including supporting documentation
    • Distribute monthly revenue analysis to project managers
    • Work with the contracts team to support proposal submissions
    • Facilitate the contract closeout process and submit final billings
    • Submit reoccurring compliance deliverables to government customers
    • Support government specific audits as well as financial audits
  • Prepare monthly recurring journal entries
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed
  • Works with other finance team members and groups to gain efficiencies and implement process improvements.



What you need for success:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Organized professional with 2-5 years of experience
  • Must be a critical thinker and problem solver
  • Must be excited to work in government finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a drive to be the best
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills


Highly preferred skills and certifications:

  • Experience with government contracting preferred but not required
  • Oracle or similar ERP experience
