Job Description

As Director of Quality, you will be responsible for the effective development and continual improvement of the quality system and culture at Wolfspeed.

This is a high visibility role with the opportunity and expectation to build a quality organization and influence the strategic quality direction and culture of the business. You will have the opportunity to work across all product lines including SiC Materials and Power and RF components, devices and modules as the business expands and ramps to meet the increasing demand in multiple industries.

 

What can you do for Wolfspeed?

 

  • Build a strong, effective Quality Team to support operational growth and increased customer automotive quality requirements
  • Systematically and relentlessly identify, prioritize and drive closure of Quality System improvement opportunities
  • Ensure successful IATF16949-2016 registration of Wolfspeed Quality System
  • Work closely with Wolfspeed leadership to continue to strengthen the culture of quality

 

What you need for success:

 

  • 5-10+ years in Quality leadership role in semiconductor industry
  • BS or MS in Engineering
  • Evidence of exceptional ability in prioritization, problem solving and leadership
  • Knowledge of and experience with IATF16494-2016 standard
  • Demonstrated proficiency with common quality approaches/tools including 8D, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, etc.

 

Highly preferred skills and certifications:

 

  • Six Sigma certification and experience
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Global Supplier Quality experience
  • Power & RF device packaging and module assembly experience
